It appears that Margaret has passed whatever it was in her crop. No hard lump this morning. Whether it was an over-reaction on our part to normal chickenness (hey, we’re new cross-species parents, cut us some slack! :)) or the olive oil or the massaging her crop to break it up, she seems to be doing fine and she re-joined her flock this morning. She is much happier to be around Anne as the two are inseparable in the coop!
Tomorrow, I construct the feeder for the door and drinker made out of PVC pipe and poultry nipples. No more nasty water to dump out every day! Pix to follow.
